Meet Rudesindo
Forced to run away, Rudesindo is compelled to think about what happened to him. Like his people before him, he fights for survival but he starts to see the need to seek justice.
The main character is a farmer from the mangrove areas close to the Pacific coast. He witnesses the killing of a UN official at the hands of his boss. He runs away to avoid the same fate and faces several difficult situations on his way. He wakes from his lethargic life in the jungle after witnessing life at the mines, slums, the big city or while in jail.
The wife of the UN missing man persuades the army to search for him. That provokes the killing of Rudesindo´s family as a retaliation from his boss. Rudesindo seeks revenge and realises that revenge and justice are different things. He decides to join the last. He adheres to a guerrilla group but he is not able to integrate. He starts his own armed struggle for the justice his people and him had never known.
